The New Naval Family Branch Clinic in Iwakuni, Japan held a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new Branch Health Clinic Iwakuni on May 1, 2018.
A modern, multi-story family medical and dental clinic located on Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Japan.
The clinic is designed and staffed to provide primary care to active duty personnel and command-sponsored beneficiaries assigned to MCAS Iwakuni and their tenant commands.
The four-floor facility is scheduled to provide Family Medicine to include Labor & Delivery, Pediatric Department and increased Laboratory capabilities.
Although the new building was officially opened on May 1, the Clinic's Mother Infant Care Center (MICC) official opening was June 18, 2018.
The Naval Family Branch Clinic Iwakuni, Japan is a tenant command of the U. S. Naval Hospital, Yokosuka, Japan which is the largest U.S. military treatment facility on mainland, caring for approximately 43,000 eligible beneficiaries.
This facility was supported by the Yokosuka Essentris Team Keith Williams and Andres Ruiz who spent over a year tirelessly supporting this huge project which stands to bring state of the art perinatal support to Iwakuni, Japan.
